"Be Mine" Stitchery Paper Pocket

This is a Sewable Paper Stitchery Pocket for your Valentines Day decorating. I used this bumpy, camel colored sewable paper that I found at a craft shop and just love it! It makes for a sturdy but light hanging pocket. I began this creation by stitching a single cranberry heart, some scattered "x's' and "Be Mine" on osnaburg. It was coffee dyed and then machined sewed to form the pocket. I frayed the edges along the thread line for a prim look. I dyed red & white string, attached it by rusty safety pins in the top corners and finished it off with a primitive Valentine hang tag. I slipped in a generous bunch of good smelling Sweet Annie. A fun and whimsical little pocket to hang off any knob, hook or nail. It will be signed, dated and copyright 2012 on the back of the pocket.

Olde Crow Stitchery

Here is an "Olde Crow" stitchery that was designed and stitched by me on coffee dyed osnaburg. I stitched a long handled basket full of little red berry branches. A black old crow sits on the top of the handle with "Olde Crow" stitched above. It comes in a long black distressed frame measuring 7 1/2"wide x 14 1/2"long. There is glass and a sawtooth hanger. It will be signed, dated and copyright 2012. A must have for the Crow lover!

Miss Rabbit Easter Box

This offering is for a pretty pastel Easter box. I think this box really says Easter. The cross stitched part is from a Notforgotten Farms pattern. I did my cross stitching on Fiddlers Cloth, she is a darling rabbit with a red tulip. The fabric was coffee dyed and then attached to the box with an acid free adhesive spray. I painted the paper mache box cream over robins egg blue. I rubbed on a walnut stain and it now has a lovely pale green color which matches the knob on the lid. The dark red metal part of the knob picks up the color of the stitched tulip. The box reminds me of Easter eggs I colored as a child, I just loved those pastel swirly colors! The box measures 8"diameter and is 8" high. It will be signed, dated and copyright 2012 on the bottom. A fun piece to create an Easter display around.

Americana Rabbit Stitchery Pocket

This is a sewable paper stitchery pocket that I came up with. I found this bumpy, camel colored paper at a craft shop and thought it would make a great hanging pocket. I love how it hangs, it is sturdy yet light and doesn't sag. I began with a small stitchery I designed and stitched an Americana rabbit. He has a basket with his flag and 2 star flowers. It was stitched on osnaburg, coffee dyed and then I used the sewing machine to sew the stitchery to the paper. I frayed the edges of the fabric along the thread line. I add a grungy red & white string attached with safety pins and rusty bells. I coffee dyed a little flag and sewed it to a stick from my yard and put it in the pocket. The pocket measures 6"x6". It will nicely hang from a hook, nail or knob. A cute piece for an Americana collector or use for Presidents Day or even Easter. It will be signed, dated and copyright 2012.
